NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
Naturopathic Physicians (NDs) are licensed primary care doctors trained as experts
in natural medicine. They are unique in providing diagnosis and treatment that bridges
both conventional and natural medicine; they integrate the latest scientific research
with the healing power of nature.
Naturopathic Physicians (NDs) endeavor to treat the whole person by taking into
account the emotional, genetic and environmental factors that have influenced their
state of health... Naturopathic Physicians differ from allopaths (MDs); rather than
limiting their treatment to synthetic drugs and invasive procedures, NDs predominantly
utilize natural remedies and procedures. Naturopathic Physicians work to identify and
eliminate the cause of disease.

Licensed Naturopathic Doctors are graduates of 4 year post-bachelor medical schools.
Some NDs have advanced training in women's health, homeopathy and intravenous
therapy. As professional pioneers in science-based natural medicine, NDs advocate the
development of professional standards, accountability and regulation of all forms of
medicine to maintain safety and freedom of choice in healthcare. NDs are currently
licensed in 15 states and more states will be licensed soon.
